Yeah sorry about that. I didn't really ever consciously decide to fall of the face of the earth... I just found myself not listening to music anymore, and without that, the PJ forums are, well, yeah. Maybe I can get back into the swing of it enough to be in the next PJSC, we'll see. How are those going, overall? // Youtubed a few songs off that album, they're pretty solid, will grab the LP when I can.

Yes, the new album shine has worn off a little. I still really like it, but I get what you mean about the ballads. Offer It Up is definitely my favourite, and Lose My Shit is cute. I don't think she'll ever get another hit like The Last Day On Earth, that was just a huge fluke, after it was used in ads for Neighbours. The album looks like it'll go top 10, looking at iTunes, though. Did you see the video for Share You Air? She always has good videos.

I think it might be, too, but the competition isn't that great ha! Oh yeah, he is. Australian hip-hop really isn't my thing, but it could work. I'm still more concerned about the duet with Passenger... At least Washington is on there!

So this is pretty much me today after the Bow To Each Other and eeammammywhammy news! // I think I know which is your PJSC entry this time. Mine is super obvious. // I am a bit obsessed with Autre Ne Veut now, just so you know.

I did not know that, but I also have no idea who he is ha! What's his work like? I think I might check out more Sophie Ellis Bextor. I have her first album, which isn't bad, but I've heard the others are better.

The album I got is... OK. A bit faceless dance music on first listen, but maybe will sound better on a second time through (spoiler alert: it probably won't). Oh dear, I hope it's not my album you got. I don't think it is, because mine is amazing (spoiler alert: whoever reviews it probably won't think that) // I noticed Diane on your best of list and the cover appealed to me, so I've had a listen and bought the deluxe edition. Mostly because of: YUHHH-HUHHH ARE A LIGH-HI-HI-HTHOUSE, CALLIN' OUT, CALLIN' OUT, AND YOU HEAR ME, ESS OH ESS, ESS OH ESS AND YOU BEAM ME. // Going to give 'In The Silence' my first listen now.

Don't get me wrong I love a bit of Robotney, but I have absolutely no desire whatsoever to listen to anything on Brinty Joan. Ever. Even the Sia tracks. // Ahhh let me know what you think of the Ásgeir album, I'm very much looking forward to listening to it, it seems tailored to suit the cold snap we have due in the UK. // Thanks for the recommendation, I'll Spotify Stripmall Architecture. I'm still waiting for a bunch of albums to arrive that I bought before Christmas. Ho hum. // In unrelated news, I recently bought a promo copy of Bat For Lashes' 'A Wall' and the person I bought it from also chucked in another copy (plus a Mumford & Sons promo, yuck) so if you'd like a freebie you are quite welcome to it, if you don't have it already.

Happy New Year! // If I was being pedantic I would also add Lo-Fang and Dillon to that list (plus Sia in March? It is March, right?)~~~ The schedule looks pretty amazing when everyone is listed together like that doesn't it?! // I'm not taking part in the big 4 rate due to the fact that I would have to actually sit and listen to 'Britney Jean' and 'Prism' and I'm not that big a masochist. // Initial thoughts about the Elliphant album?

Oh right. He's ... yeah. // I ... http://www.last.fm/user/gpideal/library/music/Katy+Perry/PRISM+(Deluxe+Edition)?sortOrder=asc&sortBy=name (Not the rate for me. Couldn't get through Beyonce either. Didn't even try Britney Jean. So basically rooting for Aura and to a lesser extent Applause.) // I am highly anticipating Lorde/Charli/Sky though, even though Lorde's going to get cut out early.

I have one particular album in mind but I'm going to hold off on committing until I see what gets thrown in - I'm hoping that PJSC/PJOSC/rates peel off the less adventurous and we can get really really weird. But if not that's fine too. // I'm stumped as to who that would be. You're so even-keeled that it's hard for me to see the one poster who'd get you irritated.. I like to keep my ignore list clear so that I can report people though hahaha.

Re: your post on NV's wall. Mogwai's album has also leaked. // Been kicking around the idea of restarting the album shuffle after the new year with HeartSwells. Would you be interested in participating? If not, feel free to just tell me now - I'd rather know now than later. But otherwise if you have any ideas to make it run more smoothly (I'm thinking maybe only doing it once a quarter, having a strict deadline after which they're banned from the next one, maybe even exercising light veto powers if necessary [does anyone really want to listen to Metal Machine Music]) hit me up. I'm also considering writing up my review and posting it in the existing thread as a "soft" interest check of sorts. If you still have yours around and want to post it (probably after the new year) you can do that too.

"I am so sorray" but 'JOY' for me, along with 'Explosions' & 'Dead In The Water', are the saggy bottom to Halcyon's pert upper body. And I just loooove 'The State Of Dreaming', so that's why it got a 10 from me. // I sort of love Beyonce's album now in a way I've never liked her music before. I still find some of it pap, but 'Pretty Hurts', 'Haunted', 'Partition' and '***Flawless' are all A+. // My Q1 for next year is already filling up with releases, it's quite exciting!

There's still TWO HUNDRED samples! // "Do I listen to THAT much instrumental- oh, 19 of my top 30 albums were instrumental (minus one track in a few cases). Huh." I guess the vocal albums were a bit frontloaded in my list so I didn't even think about it. // I'll dig through it all soon. I think. When The Quietus had a list of 100 I mostly just gave up though.

Haha! Only because I find 'I Need Your Love' that bit more odious. // I've outdone myself with my entry for this PJOPS, I just hope it doesn't get vetoed. I really wanted to enter Henryk Górecki's Symphony number 3 as a sort of troll entry (even though I love it, but it wouldn't get any points), but it doesn't really relate to breakups unfortunately so had to go with plan B.

My four-song run is Ribs to Glory and Gore so yeah, seems like we're getting similar things out of it. Just can't get enough of ... the minimalism of the instrumentation? No Better is a little jarring in this respect by comparison but still really good. The EP tracks are less convincing than that though. Would love to get a vocal-less version of the album. // Man if they're naming highs and lows in the rate I'm sure glad that I didn't join in.
