It certainly makes sense not to include anything off Tsuki, so while I thought Tsuki could've been included, I'm not surprised it wasn't, haha. I'm not surprised the B-sides got left off either, she's never been one for including them on albums. I'm really excited for Photogenic based on the teaser spot. What do you think about Stranger, based on the news clip?

I really wonder what she's going for with this marketing strategy. Releasing an album with no lead single, and with no marketing for it two months in advance...I'm sure she'll have some level of success regardless, but it certainly seems like she's setting herself up for failure. I'm excited to hear the new stuff, like always, but I dunno. This release method is bizarre to say the least. If she's still intent on releasing music in the rest of the world, this is not the way to do it, heh.

Yeah, a ballad-only tour would be a nightmare that even I wouldn't try to sit through >_> I just watched the ballads I liked and skipped the rest, haha. And I agree, I don't get why she always puts the tough ones near the end. I get having a strong closer, but she always puts like 3 or 4 of them back to back right at the end, and I don't get it at all. Still curious about that supposed June album though. It's weird that there's no noise about it, normally promotion for her albums starts a good 2 months in advance. But I dunno, I liked all three of the songs on Brighter Day, so for me it's all good. Tsuki is still the obvious standout for this era, I think, but I'm not disappointed in any of them, thus far.

That's fair. It's definitely not as hard as their other albums, so I get where you're coming from. I kind of like House Party, but it's the old R&B sound, so it's closer to my style, haha. I agree that Kuu needs to work with better producers though...As far as LS 2014 goes, I liked the stage and the technical aspects of it, but it felt inconsistent to me. I wasn't very impressed by the dancing, even knowing she's not going as hard anymore. The vocals were hit or miss too, some songs were really good, and others were really not. That performance of Supernatural Love was kind of atrocious, honestly. >_>; Anyway, they announced a new Oleo D'or commercial, so there's gonna be new material soon, I'm sure. You didn't like Brighter Day? It's not my favorite, but I feel like it's better than most of her album tracks in recent years.

I've heard that from a lot of fans, haha. Dark Light is probably their most mainstream sounding album, so I can understand why it'd be a least favorite, but it's still a pretty solid album experience even if it's not their best. And yeah, Kuu's new album is a disaster, hah. There are two or three songs I like, but nothing I would consider a career highlight. As far as Namie goes, no idea. She announced a tour to FanSpace starting in September, but Live Style 2014 was underwhelming, so I'm not holding my breath. New material's always welcome, of course, and if it sounds like Tsuki or Brighter Day then it should be good. There was a rumor she'd perform in the US this year, but I guess that was just a rumor.

It's been a while since I really listened to them, but I've always liked them well enough. I rediscovered Dark Light while I was cleaning this weekend, decided to jam out for a while, haha. How are you? :)
