If the debut had been a ten song album that finished with 'This is the One' then that would have been a suitably euphoric ending worthy of bringing any album to a close. The fact they the drop this masterpiece after just reaffirms my belief that it is in fact the greatest album of all time. What a way to finish an record. Perfect.

The original UK 1989 debut release had 11 tracks in total with this being the closer. Fool's Gold for me is like a hidden/extra track for me, I previously played the album for many years with the original tracklist, but Fools Gold is such a banger post-credits song type.

I love how the acoustic guitars come in during the bridge when John plays all those little leads. The way this song is mixed is epic

Sounds like someone's re-recorded the drums on a shitty machine, and there's an organ playing too. Weird.

Doesn't get any better. Resurrection could continue for another hour at least and it still wouldn't be long enough. @djskellington - not simply one of the best Britpop albums - one of the best albums full stop. About as close to perfection as 'indie' has ever come.

Every once in a while you need reminding why this album was one of the absolute best Britpop albums ever recorded.

Just love it. The full length version - which this sadly isn't - is just epic though!
