Ma Fleur is one of the only albums I’d give a perfect score to. It’s an absolutely astounding record. I’m a fan of To Believe as well and I really adore the soundtrack they did for The Crimson Wing, really beautiful stuff. I plan on getting into their first few works from here.

To me, we have two completely different bands in Motion/Everyday and Ma Fleur/To Believe. Although Ma Fleur is a freaking great album, I apreciate more the jazzy style of their first two albums. Now, they go even further, almost loosing completely that jazzy style. I miss the percussion, the brass instruments, the bass. It seems to me that they're really enjoying to creat movies soundtracks. Actualy, this is exactly what this album seems to me, a minimalistic soundtrack. Still, great album. Great guests participation and amazing harmonies. Hope they wont take twelve more years to give us another one!

I definitely share your impression. It's not bad, I just wanted more of the same and that is absolutely gorgeous drumming I cannot avoid moving my body to. Lessons is the only "old school" song. I was at least pleasantly surprised today that a new album is out. I had stopped waiting. Another weird thing on first listen is that I think a lot of Björk songs with the various arrangements in the songs.

Gave it three listens, I've concluded that I really, really dislike it. Unfortunately, this project feels soulless to me. Perhaps one's view on it can be improved if one considers it kind of a film soundtrack, still, it doesn't work for me. On the other hand, it's always interesting reading how and why people are enjoying stuff that you don't.

i really like 'A Promise' - because it's more about traditional Cinematic Orchestra, jazzy, interesting music, but in 'A Caged Bird' i really don't diggin this dance beat - it's a step backward, but Manuva's rapping really good and totally i liked other one too. waiting for the album!

This and Hidden Orchestra are on quite the same category for me. Both delivering smooth, emotional yet very catchy tunes with somewhat similar soundscape. I want to highlight the very catchy drumming especially. The Cinematic Orchestra is a fantastic group which I would welcome anyday to make more amazing moody and emotional jazzy albums.
