I understand the breakup, but there's never a day I don't think about this band. I miss them so much.

What the hell happened to these guys??? Last Facebook post is 2 years ago, but there has never really been a breakup/hiatus announcement, has there? They need to come back.

Some months ago, I spoke to their german booker and he told me, they told him, this band is history. I tweeted Jimmy some months ago and his answer was not going in a different direction ... so. I think they're gone and did the ghosting thing :(

I honestly still really like Billy Talent's and Rise Against's newer albums, but I can see why people might not like the direction these bands have taken.

I miss this band so much. Oh, and I personally LOVED Death Chorus. I don't understand the hate.

@redgrave9 Some of the slower songs on Death Chorus have a massive STJD feel (Why Live When You Can Die for example).

I'm really sorry for Jimmy and all but the new vocals do absolutely nothing for me. His harsh and raspy style was what got me so much into them in the first place (because let's be honest here, they aren't exactly the most original band around instrumentally) and now that it's gone the band lost like 3/4 of their charm. The fact that Death Chorus is quite possibly their most straightforward and uninspired work doesn't make it any better for me. Well, at least the old stuff will always be there I guess.

Chasing Hamburg is their weakest release in my opinion. It has some golden tracks, but even the demo seems to be more solid for me. Also, I don't get the STJD and Death Chorus comparisons- everything on their newest album is way too bright and clean to be anything similar to their first record.

That being said, this band will never release anything better than Chasing Hamburg. That album is pure gold.

The new album is just as good as the previous releases. In fact, if it weren't for the vocal change, this album would be the closet thing to Sometimes Things Just Disappear 2 that will ever happen.

I actually quite like the new album! I dont think the vocals are that drastically different.

Been through this before with Saves The Day and AFI's vocalists. I can get through it with this band too. They're still great, imo.

Don't know how I feel about the new album. Def gonna give it a fair chance cause these dudes have been so solid. Hope it grows on me more. Front man explains why the vocals changed http://propertyofzack.com/post/67397817635/polar-bear-club-frontman-releases-statement-on-vocal

I like Death Chorus. It's definitely different than previous releases, but it's still Polar Bear Club. No other band makes music like this, with or without the rough vocals. If you're in doubt, give it a few more listens. It definitely grows on you. But please don't say that clean vocals are bad. That's not true at all. [2]
