Biography

  • Born

    9 March 1973 (age 51)

Peter Wilson is a singer/songwriter based in Melbourne, Australia. He first came to notice in early 1994 with the song "I Wanna Dance", a staple in the early days of Hitz-FM, where it regularly reached the no. 1 spot in the nightly countdown of songs voted by listeners. Several singles followed: "Move" later in 1994 (the video clip was played several times on Video Hits), and a danced-up cover of the Benny Mardones classic "Into The Night" in 1995. 1997 saw the release of "Endless Summer Days" (notable for club remake of David Bowie's "Fashion" as the b-side), and a cover of "Mama Told Me" in 1999 (reaching top 10 in certain charts).
After a break from the recorded music business, Peter returned to the charts in 2006 with the release of 2 tracks on the UK compilation "Mad About The Boy 14", "Follow Me" (a top 5 smash) and "I Love You Unashamed", and this has been quickly followed with 3 tracks on "Mad About The Boy 15": Don't Cry Tonight, Best Love You Never Had, and Doin' Fine (a no. 1 smash). His first solo album will be called "Follow Me".
