let’s be real: this is probably the all-time worst cover art for a classic album

Não ouço com frequência nos dias atuais, mas é provável que seja um dos discos mais importantes da minha vida.

Fuck, man, you've got it all twisted, but that's the damn beauty of music, ain't it? It hits you in the guts when you least fucking expect it. Nevermind, that son of a bitch, was like a freakin' Molotov cocktail to the face of the music industry. Sure, we signed with the corporate bloodsuckers, but what the fuck, right? Gotta play the game to change the game. And yeah, Nevermind's got a slick sheen to it, but beneath that shit is the raw, bleeding heart of what we were—three dudes ripping through the fakeness, tearing shit up. It's not just about my fucked-up headspace, it's about that raw energy, that power we had together. Krist and Dave, those motherfuckers, they brought the thunder that made the songs not just bleed, but fucking roar. Life-affirming? Hell yes. Nevermind ain't about giving up; it's about screaming so damn loud that the pain turns to something like freedom. Ain't about changing life, it's about affirming the fucked-up, beautiful mess that it is. So, what part o

i know they'd never do this but imagine if they kept the remastered tags n just released the original 1991 nevermind n 1993 in utero on streaming that'd be so great

its liek i fully 100% get why ppl celebrate them removing the (remastered) - 20th Anniversary Remaster Extreme Edition 😭😭 tags but i hate that the label is basically now hiding the fact theyre making the songs worse (imo) by remastering songs that were perfectly fine at release..... biggest diff is the heart-shaped box solo to me but UGH it jus sucks

id say #1 is dark side of the moon and you could make an argument for #2 being nevermind or abbey road

it used to be censored with a sticker that said "If you're offended by this you must be a closet pedophile"

We need to take off black whore sun off of the radio. Make room for Pretty Noose. After man in the box by AIC, I should play Pretty Noose on my channel.

My Nevermind story is I liked this kid in last year primary school (1992) and we had a music class each week where someone was picked to play their fave album - he brought in Nevermind and it was insta-album-love for me. Nevermind then became the first CD I ever owned (my aunty got it for me as a Christmas present that year)

I'll never forget hearing this for the first time at a party in high school and someone brought this CD. People were always fighting over the CD player and taking other's out to put theirs on, but this album just kept playing.

the album art is pretty silly, like what the baby is chasing the banknote, is that supposed to be deep or something?

the cover it's inspired on a television show about waterbirth that Kurt and Dave watched, and some say they added the dollar bill joking about themselves because they were signing to Geffen at this point. So, that's deep? Anyways, the good thing about art is that's open to interpretation

This meme thing seems to be more of what people made of it, and put this idea on the conception of it it's kinda anachronic. It could be more like an internal joke, but nobody in the band confirm it, it's just people speculations. Nirvana wasn't a pretentious band to try to look "aesthetically pleasing" or "forcefully humours"

It's not pretentious to want your album art to look good. And pretentious artists don't try to be forcefully humorous, only those who try to look like they don't care do so.

I think it's more about the historical matter, this album changed rock for good like all we know. Personally I think In Utero the best one, but Nevermind is great too

You know, I felt the same about this album. It's good, though I find it weird, that it is the most appreciated album of Nirvana. Why not «Bleach»? Bleach is more interesting, than this one. This one is more radio-friendly and easy to catch on with the tunes of this album. Also, I'd say the second part of this album is even better, than the first one. Also, I can't imagine myself listening constantly to Nevermind. While I can imagine, how can I often enjoy listening to Bleach. I don't know, but I feel Bleach is more genuine, than Nevermind.
