"Someday" is a song written by American singer and songwriter Mariah Carey, for her eponymous debut album Mariah Carey (1990).
Lyrically, Mariah is basically letting a guy who she is pursuing know that someday he’ll regret turning her down and not cherishing her.
It was released by Sony Music Entertainment on 15 November 1990, as it became her third song to hit number-one on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100.
Due to the song's success, it has constantly been featured on her compilation and catalog releases including, #1's (1998), Greatest Hits (2001), The Essential Mariah Carey (2011), and #1 to Infinity (2015).
