I listen to the record and just think how much better these tracks would be if Guru or Jeru were on them instead. Some of the lines are laughably bad.

Nah, son. Livin' Proof is way more cohesive and has some of Premier's best production. A Tear for the Ghetto has lots of filler/forgettable songs and is a very boring late nineties release, as it basically rehashes every idea they had put through on Livin' Proof (which aren't that interesting or original in the first place, at least they had Preem production, come on!)

Lil Dap is pretty good, but Melachi is pretty much awful. How does shit like "Deadly like a rattlesnake, but I don't rattle" and "Yo I rock on the block with the real hip-hop, As you start to clock... and jock", even make it on to an album. Half of the time it sounds like he's actually trying to think up a rhyme as he goes.
