when i was in 4th grade in like 2005 and just starting to get into music i asked for a green day CD for christmas bc they were all the rage among 10 year olds during peak American Idiot fever. but for whatever reason my parents bought Insomniac instead of American Idiot, so this became my formative Green Day album and all the songs feel super nostalgic for me. which i’m thankful for because this shit still is so good and i have that extra attachment to it

Used to love the hell out of it when I was younger. Played it the other day, it still sounds pretty good but there's quite an amount of uninspired tracks sucking some life out of it. "J.A.R." should've made Insomniac, though. Even the b-side "You Lied" has more charisma than "No Pride", "Westbound Sign", "Tight Wad Hill" and the second half of "Panic Song". But that's just me

Maybe it's harder to scrobble, because this one is rather on CD and 21st CB is mp3 or smth like that.

This album is definitely the best produced of their 90's output. (Great songs, too, of course.)

I love this cd with a passion, I love the desperation and helpless feelings of the songs [2]
