“I’ve Got All This Ringing In My Ears and None On My Fingers” is the fourteenth track on Fall Out Boy's 2007 album Infinity on High. The track is a nod to the fact that, at the time, the members of the band were relentlessly touring (and subject to tinnitis) and also unmarried.
The sound of the song is meant to be very grand, as it features trumpets and a dominant piano part. Furthermore, after the chorus, the song launches into a fast-paced guitar riff. As the song (and album) comes to a close, the music concludes with Stump’s restrained falsetto.
As is the case with most songs that appear later on the album, “Ringing” has never been played live.
