The Gallery is the second full-length studio album by the Swedish melodic death metal band Dark Tranquillity, released on November 27, 1995. It was the first full-length release to feature Mikael Stanne on lead vocals, while passing down his position of guitarist to Fredrik Johansson. The album saw a more intense approach on the vocals than on Skydancer. In 2005, Century Media Records re-released The Gallery with new layouts and five cover songs as bonus tracks. Dark Tranquillity is a Swedish melodic death metal band from Gothenburg, formed in 1989 by singer Mikael Stanne and guitarist Niklas Sundin as Septic Broiler before changing their name in 1991. They are considered to be one of the earliest pioneers of the Gothenburg metal style. They have kept a mostly consistent line-up.
