“Why Don't You Love Me” is a song from Beyoncé’s third studio album I Am... Sasha Fierce (2008). The song was originally a pre-order exclusive for the deluxe version of the album and was later released on the Platinum edition. It was issued as I Am... Sasha Fierce’s ninth and final single on July 2, 2010, through Columbia Records and Music World Entertainment.
Lyrically, “Why Don't You Love Me” is Beyoncé asking her man why he doesn’t show affection or love for her despite her fabulousness. The song is mostly R&B with disco influences that is set in a retro style. Its music video is highly 1960s inspired and was directed by Melina Matsoukas and Beyoncé herself.
“Why Don't You Love Me” reached number one on the US Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart for the week of February 13, 2010, becoming her twelfth number one on the chart and the fifth consecutive number one from its parent album.
