This album reminds me of my brother. God I miss him. He's still alive, he's just been at a friend's house for a few hours.

Pretty good, but their worst (barely below Cities) imo. I really wish they had kept the scream part of Feel Good Drag when they rerecorded it.

I loved this album! Miserabile Visu is such a beautiful closer. Not at good as Cities or Never Take Friendship Personal, in my opinion, but still a great album! <3

I agree with Blade - *Fin was so epic and heart-wrenching. Miserable Visu is cool - but *fin has so much more emotion

Not as good as Cities, but better than Blueprints and Never Take Friendship Personal. (*fin) was much more epic than Miserabile VIsu

i liked cities better - i've been listening to this one pretty much non-stop since christmas, and i like cities better - it has such a raw power and emotion that new surrender seems to be lacking.

I really think at first you think it's too different from what Anberlin normally produce, but just give it a month maybe, and I'm sure you'll learn to appreciate what it is and how much change they've shown while still being as amazing as they always were I personally love the album now :)

It's definitely more tailored to help them break into the mainstream, definitely lacks something sonically that their indie releases had but a great album none the less.

They've shown a lot of growth with this CD. It's easily their best release so far.

this album has been evaded: http://evadethenoise.com/2008/10/04/anberlin-new-surrender/ (we gave it 3 stars out of 5... but we dug it)
