Topographies
Topographies to post-punkowa grupa z siedzibą w San Francisco i Los Angeles, założona w 2018 roku przez Justina Oronosa, Jeremiego Ruesta i Graya Tolhursta. Zespół czerpie z zimnofalowych i post-punkowych grup, takich jak Asylum Party, New Order i Chameleons, jednocześnie łącząc elementy industrialu, EBM i shoegaze'u w brzmienie, które jest jednocześnie nostalgiczne i współczesne. Grupa wydała dwa 7-calowe single, dwie EP-ki i jeden LP za pośrednictwem niezależnych wytwórni Sonic Cathedral, DREAM i Funeral Party. Drugi LP zatytułowany "Interior Spring" ma ukazać się na początku 2024 roku w wytwórni Dark Entries z San Francisco, znanej z wydawnictw Severed Heads, Lives of Angels i niezliczonych innych przełomowych zespołów lat 80-tych, 90-tych i współczesnego post punkowego i elektronicznego undergroundu. Grupa koncertowała w całych Stanach Zjednoczonych, ostatnio z Soft Kill z Portland podczas 6-tygodniowej krajowej trasy koncertowej, która obejmowała wyprzedane koncerty w Los Angeles, Portland i Nowym Jorku. Występowali również z The Chills, Odonis Odonis i The Twilight Sad.

Topographies is a post-punk group based in San Francisco and Los Angeles and formed in 2018 by Justin Oronos, Jeremie Ruest, and Gray Tolhurst. The band draws from coldwave and post punk groups like Asylum Party, New Order, and the Chameleons while also fusing elements of industrial, EBM, and shoegaze into a sound that is at once nostalgic and contemporary. The group has released two 7” singles, two EPs and one LP through independent labels Sonic Cathedral, DREAM, and Funeral Party. A second LP entitled “Interior Spring” is due early 2024 from San Francisco label Dark Entries known for releases by Severed Heads, Lives of Angels and countless other seminal acts of the 80s, 90s and contemporary post punk and electronic underground. The group has toured nationally, most recently with Portland’s Soft Kill on a 6-week national tour which included sold out shows in Los Angeles, Portland and New York. They have also shared bills with The Chills, Odonis Odonis, and The Twilight Sad.

Debiutancka płyta zespołu wita słuchacza określonym już charakterem muzycznym i zabiera go w podróż pełną ciepła, elektryczności i ruchu. ‘Here We Stand’ to pierwszy singiel zespołu, który zostal wydany 19 października 2023, poprzedzając premierę albumu 26 października 2023 r.
Bruce Waves gra odważnie i bez kompleksów, mocno podkreślając wokal. Ich wzmacniacze są podkręcone tak, aby mogły rozgrzać i porwać tłumy.
