"Red Hill Mining Town" is the sixth track from U2's 1987 album, The Joshua Tree. The song was initially intended to be the second single from the Joshua Tree album. However, the band later realized they would be unable to play it live every night (since the notes were too high for Bono). "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For" was released instead. The song was never played live until May 12, 2017 at the first show of the Joshua Tree Tour 2017. It was subsequently played at every show on the tour along with every other song on the album.
