“I Won’t Apologize” is the only song that Selena co-wrote on her debut album “Kiss & Tell”. It is rumored to be about her ex boyfriend Nick Jonas, who allegedly got stuck in a love triangle with Selena and Miley Cyrus, having a hard time choosing between them.
Selena explained this song before the live performance in Gramercy, NYC on 2 November 2010 as following: “I wrote this song because I feel like a lot of people tend to change themselves for – let’s be honest – a boy, and that’s what I did, and I never make that mistake again now. I’m sorry, I’m not what you wanted me to be, but I’m not gonna apologize for who I am.”
